More than 30 negotiations with Iranian companies were held by the «Russian Industrialist» team at the international exhibition Iran Expo 2023 in Tehran (Islamic Republic of Iran) on 7-8 May. The agreements reached are to be consolidated into agreements.
Russian industrialists increasingly see Iran as a promising direction for creating new cooperation chains, developing logistics routes, parallel imports, localization, and purchasing raw materials and components.
Iranian companies widely presented their export opportunities at the international exhibition Iran Expo 2023. The event was attended by employees of «ExporoForom-International», who form the business, exhibition and international program of the Russian Industrialist Forum Exhibition — head of the project «Russian Industrialist» Ivan Polyakov and head of the department for working with key partners Tatiana Radion.
At the Iran Expo 2023, they held more than thirty meetings and talks with representatives of business communities, Iranian state authorities, heavy industry, manufacturing and petrochemical industries. Thematic focus — discussion of the formats for continued mutual cooperation on development of communications between the business community of Iran and Russia.
The challenges and needs of both countries’ industries, formation and participation of the delegation of Iran in the business program of the Russian Industrialist Forum Exhibition
were discussed at a working meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran and the Iranian Trade Development Organization (TPO), which was attended by the Director of the Department of Central Asia, Caucasus and Russia TPO Hormali Rahmatola, the head of the Project Branch for Russia TPO Javad Saadat, consultant and expert on projects in Eurasia, Caucasus and Russia TPO Mohammed Yazdanikhram. The result of the meeting was an agreement between the parties to form a partnership agreement for congressional and exhibition events with the company «ExpoForum-International», as well as to organize additional mutual visits together with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The meeting also agreed to enshrine in an agreement another promising trilateral cooperation between the Iran Trade Development Organization (TPO), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
During the visit, there was also a visit to the Russian Federation Ministry in Iran, where a meeting took place with the commercial representative of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran Rustam Zhiganshin, deputy commercial representative Andrey Blinnikov and head of the economic department Alexey Efimov. At the meeting, the current demands and needs of industrialists and entrepreneurs of the two countries aimed at developing mutual trade, logistics, investment and banking sectors were discussed.
The final point of the business trip was a visit to two factories in the territory of the Special Economic Zone «Payam» for the manufacture of household appliances and medical supplies for hemodialysis. After that, the General Director of the Special Economic Zone «Pajamem» Mr. Akbar Ghanbarpowu was presented with the Forum «Russian industrialist» and other projects of the company «ExpoForom-International». At the conclusion of the meeting, the SEZ Head stressed the importance of permanent contacts between Iran, Russia and the CIS countries.
The summary result of the meetings held can be formulated as follows: business communities of the Iranian side expressed interest in developing business relations with Russian companies in various areas. An important role is played by organizing and holding congressional and exhibition events, where companies can organize «live» meetings, present their products and visit the production sites of potential partners.
The international forum-exhibition «Russian industrialist» will take place from 28 to 30 November 2023 at the CEC «Expoforum» in St. Petersburg. «Russian industrialist» is a federal platform for interaction of large businesses with the state, leading technology companies, universities, scientific organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, foreign partners.
